## The client needs

Grindeks is a leading pharmaceutical company in the Baltic states that wanted to eliminate difficult-to-degrade and toxic organic compounds from its wastewater. They also needed a better performing wastewater treatment plant that could meet the regulatory effluent demands.

## The solution

In order to manage and correctly dispose of toxic organic compounds detected in Grindeks’ wastewater; Veolia spent several months doing laboratory analysis to design the optimised wastewater treatment.
