Developed by AnoxKaldnes™, a Veolia subsidiary, eXeno™ uses Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology in which naturally occurring microorganisms grow on specially designed carriers. These biofilms remain in the system for extended periods, promoting the growth of slow-developing microorganisms capable of degrading even hard-to-treat organic compounds.
